Reading the time has always been a problem for many children. Here we read minutes past and minutes to the hour, with intervals of 5 minutes.

Pictograms are a common way of organising and displaying data. Usually the images represent more than one item, making them harder to interpret.

Children have to recognise, know and describe the properties of some pretty tricky 3D shapes, including, spheres, cuboids and pyramids.

Interpreting a graph and suggestions on collecting data and producing a similar graph on favourite zoo animals.

Finding fractions of numbers. Working with halves, quarters, thirds and tenths. Remember, to find one fifth, divide by 5.

Order fractions with the same denominator.

Calendars are a good resource for maths and young children can find them quite tricky to understand.
