Finding numbers more than or less than using negative numbers.
Divide 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers, with whole number remainders.
Some more ordering numbers. These are harder because there are five 3-digit numbers to order. Take it one number at a time, starting with the smallest.
The first of our year 5 sets of mental arithmetic questions. This week we look at reading and writing large numbers, place value and multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100.
Another set of pages for the really early starters with maths who have learnt to say the numbers up to 5. These great, coloured pages will help your child to count up to 5 and become confident with small numbers. There is also a number line to help them count. Enjoy counting and drawing the cows.
Match a set of objects to a number. Count the fruit in the circle and draw a line to the correct number. This involves both counting and recognising numbers. At this early stage all numbers are kept to 5 or below.
To finish the whole set of numbers off we look at the number 10, which of course is a 1 and a 0. Make sure the space between them is sensible. Start by tracing over the grey number 1 with your finger, without taking your finger off the page, then the number 0. Use a thick crayon to draw over the numbers. Practise again and again using our other pages on writing the number 10.
Half way to being able to write all the numbers from zero to ten! This great set of resources not only shows how to spell the numbers, but also shows how each letter should be written, where to start and which direction to move the pencil/pen. Why not have a look now and get your children progressing with some super accurate spelling!
Another chance to order 4 numbers. Probably the best idea is to search for the smallest number and place that on the left, then find the next smallest, and so on.
The starting and finishing numbers are given. Just count on in ones and fill in with the correct numbers to keep the dogs smiling.
