4x Table

Help with learning the 4x table.

The 4 times table is usually considered one of the easier tables to learn and is introduced after the 2x, 5x and 10x. There are several ‘tricks’ to working out the answers, such as doubling the number and then doubling again. However, these do not really help with gaining an instant recall that can only be achieved by learning it off by heart. By learning it, rote fashion, can you say the answer to 4 x 7 as quickly as answering the question, ’What is your name?'
