We are on the stairs and counting down as we go down each step. (Take care!) There is no number line to help for this set of pages which keeps to small numbers up to six. A similar practical activity can be done outside if you have a pavement or driveway. Mark out some rectangles and number them from 0 to 5. Jump forwards or backwards, calling out the number as you go!
If there is one thing which has become more popular than any other in maths classes over the last few years, it's the number track. For very young children we have a great range of activities which encourage counting and completing number tracks just up to 3 numbers. These pages have fish to help with finding the correct numbers to write down.
A very small number track, with just 3 numbers and only the middle number missing, but a great introduction for very young children to make sure that they get their numbers in order.
Put the correct number in each line of three numbers, but there's no pictures to help with these short number tracks.
Here we have a set of number tracks with five numbers in each. Just fill the gaps so the number tracks are complete. A little bit harder than before as several numbers in a row are missing on some of them.
Here we have some longer number tracks, again with numbers up to 10. Just fill in the spaces to make the number lines complete.
The dinosaurs are each holding a number. All you need to do is write down a larger number on each dinosaur's twin. Keep to numbers up to 10.
Either draw a circle round the truck on each row with the smallest number, or colour the truck with the smallest number.
The elephants are each holding a number. All you need to do is write down a smaller number on each elephant's twin.
