Just starting off with maths? Witches hats and Viking helmets help with matching a set of objects to a number. Count the hats in the circle and draw a line to the correct number. This involves both counting and recognising numbers and includes zero. At this early stage all numbers are kept to 5 or below.
Some interesting concepts introduced here, including dividing by zero, dividing by one and whether 12 divided by 4 is the same as 4 divided by 12.
Learning times tables, plenty of division and more 2D shape feature this week.
A different look at multiplying and dividing by 4.
More practice dividing by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 with no remainders.
Extending number sequences, written addition, division, co-ordinates and Roman numerals are all part of week 32.

It's a good idea to time how long it takes to complete each square and look for improvement as tables are learned.
More speed tests on tables. Remember, the grid can be completed in any order. Most children like to start with the easy tables, such as the twos and tens.
