Finding better words

There is nothing wrong with the word ‘said’ when used in speech. But, it is important not to overuse it and there are a vast number of words which are more appropriate and convey more meaning.

We have just published three worksheets which look at some of the many words that can be used to describe how someone is speaking. The main point of these worksheets is to replace ‘said’ with words which are both suitable and convey further meaning.

They can be found in oor Vocabulary category, under 'Finding better words,' along with many other invaluable pages. Why not take a look now?
