Our first two sets of mental arithmetic questions for Year 4. Today we are looking at numbers, place value and multiplying by 10, as well as a number sequence.

You need a bit of detective work this week to find missing numbers, work out the properties of shapes and deal with negative numbers.

It's all multiplication and division this week.

Division and fractions come up this week, but they are easier than they look.

Mostly addition and subtraction this week, with a hint of doubling and halving.

Some tricky multiplication and shape this week.

Good listening skills are needed to get these correct.

The numbers get larger this week.
