For those not too confident with addition why not start with our revision activities? To begin with we use pictures to help with counting on. Then we move on to number lines, all the time emphasising the vocabulary of addition. Each activity has 10 questions and the answer sheet at the end can be printed, to show just how well your child has done!

'What is the total of?' is another way of asking an addition question.
Many children will still need a number line to help them with adding.

'What is the sum of?' means to add up, and with a 0 - 20 number line this is quite easy!
